- Daegu Citizen Foundation and Daegu Smart City Support Center collaborate to recruit operators for the “Smart Shared Space System Support Project”

Daegu Citizen Foundation openly recruits an operator of the "Smart Shared Space System Support Project" promoted by the Daegu Metropolitan Government as an auxiliary project by June 17.

The smart shared space system allows the remote control of the space, opening the door of the space anytime, anywhere, and managing lights and air conditioners, without the presence of a space manager.

Starting with the concern that many spaces in Daegu cannot be used due to the absence of managers, the Daegu Citizen Foundation and the Daegu Smart City Support Center have developed the system in collaboration since 2019.

From the trial experiment of the "Siji Village Shared Space Tok Tok" in 2019, the smart sharing space system was adopted to the conference room of the Smart City Support Center and the space of the non-profit organization "Space With" in 2020, allowing more citizens to use the space than before.

Currently, there are 10 smart shared spaces in Daegu. (Space 7549, Mul-bae-gi Village, Saebut Library, Social Salon Hashtag, Dance Space of National University of Education·Dongchon Station·Daegu Grand Park Station, Siji Village Shared Space Tok Tok, Smart City Support Center, and TK Youth Community Union).

Reservations for smart shared spaces can be made on the "Smart Space Rental Reservation" page on the Share Daegu platform. Users can make reservations anytime, anywhere, and operate the smart system during reservation time. Managers can also check and control the reservation status and system usage on the reservation management page.

The open recruitment period for this project is until June 17, and the qualification to apply is an organization (group) that has space located in Daegu and must-have community experience and a business registration card or unique number.

Organizations that want to apply should fill out documents such as business applications, introduction letters of spaces, and groups on the Share Daegu platform and apply to the Sharing Project Team of Daegu Citizen Foundation. The final operators will be selected through the document and on-site review.

Lee Sang-wook, chairman of the Daegu Citizen Foundation, said, "We hope that the project to support the expansion of smart shared spaces will further revitalize Daegu's shared spaces and discover many organizations that have difficulty in shared spaces, opening up more spaces for Daegu citizens."
