The Incheon Metropolitan Government opened the Smart City Integrated Platform Operation Center on September 30 and began full-scale operation.
The project was selected as a public offering project by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport last year and was built with a total of 1.65 billion won, including 600 million won in state funds, and was officially launched after two months of trial operation.
With the operation of the smart city integrated platform, 112 security central control room, 119 central control room, the Ministry of Justice's location tracking control center, and on-site dispatch agents will be shared in real-time to quickly respond to emergency situations and secure golden time.
In particular, a fire alarm-linked service, in which CCTV images in the market are sent to 119 central room if an abnormal symptom is detected by a fire detection sensor installed in traditional markets, was installed in the Gyesan and the Jakjeon market.
The smart city integration platform also enables more efficient management, monitoring, and the response of cities by sharing information by linking ICT-based systems such as crime prevention, transportation, and the environment with each other.
Kim Ji-young, a smart city official at Incheon City, said, "We plan to continue to push ahead with the project to improve urban problems such as garbage, transportation, and original city development as well as safety issues such as crime prevention effects."
