The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will implement "Smart Meister Utilization Support" and "Smart Factory AS Support" projects to help small and medium-sized companies improve their smart manufacturing innovation capabilities and solve difficulties in building and operating smart factories.
The "Smart Meister Utilization Support" project will be operated by Smart Meister composed of retired experts with extensive field experience in smart factories such as large companies. They will visit small and medium-sized companies to guide the entire process and transfer manufacturing know-how.
Any company which wants to get support from manufacturing innovation experts can apply for this project to improve manufacturing sites and solve technical difficulties.
Short-term and simple tasks (basic courses) will be guided by one expert (meister) for three months, while long-term and complex tasks (deep courses) will be supported by a team of three experts in various fields for six months.
The government supports 90% of the cost, and companies only need to pay 10%.
In the case of the basic course, the government will pay 2.52 million won and companies need to pay only 280,000 won. For intense courses, the government will pay 11.34 million won and companies 1.26 million won.
The "Smart Factory AS Support" project is a project that supports smart factory utilization and efficiency improvement by supporting companies that introduce smart factories to solve operating difficulties such as parts replacement and software upgrades.
Subject to support are small and medium-sized enterprises that have completed the construction of smart factories with government support or small and medium-sized enterprises that have been issued level confirmations by building smart factories with their own capabilities.
The emergency recovery type supports rapid improvement if rapid AS support for failures and defects in facilities, parts, and solutions related to the operation of smart factories are needed.
The growth-linked type supports hardware and software upgrades necessary for a product change, process improvement, production efficiency improvement, and security enhancement that occur after the introduction of smart factories.
Subscription-type AS has been newly established this year and supports services such as periodic smart factory maintenance, transfer of usage of introduced equipment and solutions, and improvement of program modifications within six months.
It will be supported within 50% of the total project cost, and the government subsidy limit is up to 5 million won for emergency recovery, up to 20 million won for growth linkage, and up to 7 million won for subscription-type AS.
Companies wishing to support the utilization of Smart Meister or support for smart factory AS can apply through the "Smart Factory Business Management System" from February 14.
