“The 2021 V World 3D Modeling Competition”, hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and organized by the Spatial Information Industry Promotion Institute (Director Jeon, Man-kyung), is an annual event since 2019 with the aim of attracting public attention to 'V-World' and digital twin land by discovering excellent 3D digital models and provide them free of charge through V-world's map service.
"V-World" is a spatial information platform service (https://map.vworld.kr) that integrates and provides various spatial information by the government, such as three-dimensional spatial information and continuous cadastral map.
The 'Digital Twin Land' contest is conducting in two areas: △ 3D digital model production, such as landmarks and small areas, and △ the idea of utilizing spatial information.
Anyone who can create a three-dimensional digital model and has ideas about the use of spatial information and the development of V-World can participate.
At this year’s contest, participants can produce not only outdoor buildings but also indoor spaces, and the scope of applications is expanding to suggest ideas that can be used in various fields such as digital twin, metaverse, and video production.
Those who wish to apply to the contest can submit ideas using three-dimensional digital models of spatial information through V-World e-mail (vworld@spacen.or.kr) along with the application form, depending on the application field.
The best pieces of the contest will be selected after judging by field, and the winners will be awarded the Director of the Spatial Information Industry Promotion Institute and prize money, and the prizes will be used for V-World's three-dimensional guidance service.
