Gyeonggi-do will establish the 5th Basic Plan for Informatization (2022-2026) and establish a digital-based administrative system.
Gyeonggi-do decided to invest 122.5 billion won in project costs under the vision of "Digital Gyeonggi to lead Intelligence Information Society!" and promote ▲a Proactive digital foundation for intelligent administrative innovation ▲ Digital-based industrial innovation ▲ Providing digital services centered on citizens.
The main implementation tasks are as follows.
In order to improve the quality of public service using digital new technology, a 'proactive response prediction monitoring system for civil petitions' will be established.
The government plans to establish an Informatization Strategy Plan (ISP) for predictive monitoring of civil complaints and analyze data based on personal information such as gender and age of civil complainants to preemptively provide necessary administrative services and administrative information for each situation.
In addition, the government plans to introduce a service that automatically writes the forms required by civil servants through dialogue methods by using artificial intelligence when issuing civil petition forms by promoting artificial intelligence-based civil petition form preparation service.
‘Gyeonggi-do Data Dam’ will be built so that various data stored in individual administrative systems can be collected, stored, processed, and utilized systematically in one place, and a ‘digital Gyeonggi Wallet App’ will be created that can prove identity-based on digital devices such as smartphones without managing several real ID cards.
The province also plans to establish a "Gyeonggi-do Sharing Economy Platform" so that provincial residents can share and utilize goods and talents, and gradually integrate CCTV (closed-circuit television) of integrated control centers built-in 31 cities and counties to efficiently manage them.
Moreover, it plans to create a "Smart Industrial Complex" and "Innovative Data Center" to support industrial innovation and revitalization of local economies by revitalizing digital new technologies to increase process efficiency, and establish a "metaverse-based experience platform" and "non-face-to-face culture and art exhibition viewing platform."
In order to provide digital services centered on residents that everyone can enjoy, the education will be provided through the "Smart Senior IT Experience Zone" to enhance digital accessibility for the elderly or the disabled, and the "Barrier-Free Kiosk" will be installed in museums.
It plans to prepare a system to prevent major accidents in advance by monitoring gas leaks and fireworks based on CCTV and sensors by promoting the "Smart Green Industrial Complex Safety Monitoring Service.".
To implement such policies, Gyeonggi-do will push for projects through the Information Committee, implementation task promotion council, an information officer in the short term, and change the current organization dedicated to informatization from a "department" unit to a "national" unit.
Ryu In-kwon, head of the provincial planning and coordination office of the province, said, "The 4th Industrial Revolution has already entered the era of digital transformation," adding, "We will improve administrative service capabilities through the 5th basic plan and pave the way for the growth of the intelligent information ecosystem."
