The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority announced that they have completely reorganized the comprehensive automobile information service (Car 365) and started to provide new service from January 12 to improve ease of use and access to automobiles information.
As a major improvement, the △ authentication methods were expanded from the existing joint certificate and mobile phone text authentication to 7 authentication methods, and the △ convenience of self-certification was improved so all inquiries can be addressed once. △ It will be provided free of charge, while the commission was charged when the user checks his/her car history.
In particular, it is notable that the inconvenience of having to be repeatedly authenticated for each number of car checks has been resolved.
In addition, △if you register your own car, you can find all the information about taxes, driving distance, recall information, and maintenance history. It will also make it easier to protect and manage the property rights of car owners and prevent mass production of illegal vehicles as △ co-owners can check information on their cars.
Moreover, a section of the Quick Inquiry Vehicles Service for Sale was also set up to check used car information on one page to prevent damage to used car sales fraud.
In the "Quick Inquiry Vehicles Service for Sale," you can check all of the actual sales, the average amount of used car sales, and history information on one page by entering the car registration number, making it easier and more convenient to find used car information.
Meanwhile, events will also be held for two weeks from the 12th in line with the launch of the reorganized service. If you freely write comments on improvements after signing up for the Car 365 membership, 200 winners will be presented with a gift. The winners will be announced on January 28 through the Car 365 website.
“The Car 365 service has been improved by increasing access to information and improving user convenience from a user’s point of view,” said Kim Jung-hee, Automobile Policy Officer at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. “The transfer of the commission for historical inquiry services such as maintenance to commercial vehicles to the free provision is expected to contribute to the prevention of used car fraud,” he said.
