Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announces a plan to revitalize green architecture for carbon neutrality in 2020.

In the case of the 'Green Remodeling Interest Support Project for Private Buildings', it will continue to expand through easing support standards, upgrading support scale, and diversifying support methods. And also encouraged to find new business models such as incentives for private buildings with publicity will be encouraged.

The floor area rate and building height limit relaxation regulations applied to zero-energy buildings (ZEB) certification will be raised from up to 15% to up to 20%. In addition, support for the installation of ZEB core infrastructures such as the Building Energy Management System (BEMS) will be expanded, and the ZEB certification performance will be recognized as the advantage point when bidding for public construction projects to encourage construction companies to participate.

On 3rd, The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced its plans to revitalize green architecture for 2050 carbon neutrality.

In the case of the Private Building Green Remodeling Interest Support Project, which has been continuously growing in response to the public, it plans to continue to expand and develop through easing support standards, raising support scale, and diversifying support methods, and actively review new business models such as incentives for private buildings with publicity.

In parallel with the public sector Green Remodeling Support Policy, the government plans to introduce a mandatory green remodeling system for public buildings from 2025, in order to induce more stable and active green remodeling implementation.

In order to expand ZEB, which is currently promoting various pilot zones such as Suwon Dangsu District 2 (more than 50% energy independence rate) and Seongnam Bokjeong District (more than 20% energy independence rate), it plans to designate some districts in Happy City 6-2 as energy-specialized zones.

In order to further activate ZEB certification, the government will increase the floor area ratio and building height limit relief regulations applied for certification maximum 15% to 20% up from the current ratio, expand the cost of installing ZEB core infrastructure such as BEMS (building energy management system), and introduce ZEB certification results as a bonus point in order to induce construction companies to participate.

In addition, It plans to build an optimal construction cost prediction system to minimize the additional costs incurred in ZEB construction and to resolve uncertainties. It will provide a low-cost ZEB design customized to each building and support energy efficiency and cost increase.
