The condition of the national actor Ahn Sung-ki (73), who has been battling cancer, is reported to be critical.
According to Yonhap News on the 31st, Ahn Sung-ki was transferred to the emergency room on the 30th. He is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit, and his condition is said to be critical.
Ahn Sung-ki was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2019 but was declared cured the following year after treatment. However, as the cancer recurred, he has suspended his activities and focused on treatment.
Recently, amid reports of deteriorating health, he stated that he would find it difficult to attend a retrospective exhibition organised by the city of Seoul due to health reasons.
