Government Complex Sejong will be DX… LG CNS Wins 'Smart Government Complex Construction Project'

The Government Complex Sejong will be digitally transformed (DX) into a smart technology-based office building such as digital twin, 5G specialized network, AI, and big data.

LG CNS announced on the 19th that it had won the 'Smart Government Complex Integrated Management System Construction Project' ordered by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

The ‘Smart Government Complex Integrated Management System Construction Project’ is a digital transformation (DX) project of the Government Complex Sejong, the largest government complex in Korea (total floor area 190,000 square feet, 629,000 ㎡) by April 2023.

LG CNS will establish an 'AI integrated control system' that utilizes △ Digital Twin △ 5G special network (e-UM 5G) △ AI △ big data, etc., and implement the actual Government Complex Sejong in 3D in virtual space through digital twin technology.

Within the space, the caretaker avatar will provide an ‘Avatar Patrol Service’ to check the condition of fire, electricity and lighting-related facilities.

If the administrator of the Government Complex Sejong sets the avatar to patrol from the 2nd basement floor to the 12th floor, the avatar will check all floors and check whether the electric leakage breaker for each area is working properly and the lighting brightness level.

LG CNS applies e-UM 5G to the Government Complex Sejong. It will be able to strengthen data security by using a separate dedicated frequency rather than a mobile communication network of a telecommunication company.

The ‘AI integrated control system’ also provides ‘Emergency Supervisory Service’ based on AI and bigdata.

AI analyzes all the videos recorded on over 2,000 CCTVs inside and outside the Government Complex Sejong by using about 60 indicators such as gender, presence of belongings, and vehicle type.

In the control room, based on big data for facility and security control analyzed by AI, it will be possible to quickly recognize/notify emergency such as fire and unauthorized intrusion, and to detect facility abnormalities.

LG CNS provides an 'AI integrated control system' that encompasses new DX technologies through the 'Cityhub Building' platform.

‘Cityhub Building’ is an integrated control platform developed by LG CNS that contains various solutions that can collect data and manage and control facilities for large buildings and factories at once.

For example, when the fire broke out, △fire hazard notification △precise monitoring of the location of the fire △information on the status of emergency exits △providing a list of firefighting equipment can be activated to establish an emergency response system.

LG CNS will also build a walk-through type entrance gate with security and convenience.

A complex authentication method that combines mobile public official ID app authentication and AI face recognition will be introduced.

LG CNS formed a consortium with CUBOX, which has the 'face forgery prevention technology certification' of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Only about 30 companies around the world have been certified, and CUBOX is the only company in Korea.
