Stanford University Korea Center unveils Smart City Sustainability Research Project for the first time

- Korea and France Smart City International Symposium will start on December 7

The Korea Center of Stanford University in the U.S. will unveil research projects for the sustainability of smart cities at the ‘2021 Incheon Free Economic Zone Smart City International Symposium’.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced that it will hold the ‘2021 Incheon Free Economic Zone Smart City International Symposium’ in Songdo International City on December 7 in collaboration with the French Embassy in Korea and the Korea-France Chamber of Commerce.

At this year's symposium, smart city and startup experts from Korea and France will share related policies and innovation cases in Songdo, which is a world-renowned smart city and advocates a "Korean version of Silicon Valley."

The Stanford University Korea Center, which recently nestled in Songdo, sheds light on the two countries' urban planning policies and success stories, introduces ongoing research projects aimed at the sustainability of smart cities.

The Incheon Economic Administration will also sign a letter of intent to foster startups with Business France, an organization responsible for exporting and supporting international cooperation of French companies at the event.

The symposium will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the Incheon Free Economic Zone.
