Samsung Electronics introduces a number of innovative eco-friendly technologies and energy-saving solutions to smart homes and smart buildings at the 2021 Korea Energy Exhibition held at KINTEX in Ilsan from the 13th to the 15th.
Samsung Electronics presents its differentiated high-efficiency energy technology, focusing on products that won the Energy Winner of the Year award at this exhibition, and unveils smart home and smart building solutions that consider user convenience and energy savings.
The Energy Winner of the Year Award is hosted by the Consumer Citizens' Association, sponsored by the MTI(Ministry of Trade and Industry), Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Environment, and the Korea Energy Management Corporation, and established to spread the production and consumption of high-efficiency products.
In July, Samsung Electronics received the highest award at the 24th Energy Winner of the Year, ▲ Windless System Air Conditioner 4Way were selected for Energy Awards and Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award ▲Bespoke Grande Dryer AI and Bespoke Dishwasher were selected for Energy Technology Award ▲ Bespoke Family Hub Refrigerator were selected for Energy Technology Award ▲Bespoke Grande Washing Machine AI and System Air Conditioner DVMS2 were selected for the "Energy Winner Award," proving excellent energy-saving technology.
■ Highlight Zone, the main space of the exhibition, will showcase energy technology encompassing commercial to residential air conditioners, focusing on products that won this year's Energy Winner Award.
The windless system air conditioner 4Way is designed to increase the energy efficiency of key parts such as heat exchangers and "3D turbofans" and optimize the refrigerant cycle, so all models that won this year's energy consumption efficiency won the first grade.
In addition, the system air conditioner outdoor unit DVMS2, which won the Energy Winner Award, has greatly enhanced energy efficiency by AI technology.
The "BESPOKE HOME Zone," where you can experience a total of 13 types of Bespoke home appliances, will showcase products that are energy-efficient like ▲ Bespoke Grande Dryer AI, which achieved the first grade of energy consumption efficiency by adding heat pump ▲ Bespoke Grande Washing Machine AI ▲ Bespoke Family Hub Refrigerator ▲ Bespoke Dishwasher
■ There is also a separate ‘SmartThings Energy’ section that manages the energy used in the house. Samsung SmartThings Energy, which has evolved further through cooperation with KEPCO, Hanwha Q Cells, major domestic construction companies, and HomeNet companies, will showcase differentiated energy management experiences.
SmartThings Energy is the basis for building smart homes such as zero energy homes, including power consumption management that provides detailed power consumption data, remote meter information, and technology that generates and secures power through solar and energy storage systems (ESS).
Zero energy home means the ones can reduce carbon emissions by efficiently using energy produced directly at home through solar power generation.
■ ‘Home Solution Zone’ introduces unique windless technology that provides 24-hour comfortable cooling while reducing power consumption through the "best efficiency product" that maximizes energy efficiency by applying digital inverter technologies such as windless gallery air conditioners and Bespoke windless free wall-mounted wide.
The best efficiency product refers to the highest energy efficiency home appliance, and KEPCO will refund 10% of the purchase amount until the highest energy efficiency purchase such as refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, kimchi refrigerators, air conditioners, TVs, dehumidifiers, hot and water purifiers, rice cookers, and vacuum cleaners.
In addition, Samsung Electronics offers an integrated automatic control system that efficiently manages buildings by integrating major facilities and systems such as air conditioning, lighting, power, and networks. It is also introducing 'smart building' solutions that consider energy savings and eco-friendliness such as IoT.
