Naver will expand its smart logistics service using AI and robots nationwide.
Naver is building a control tower for logistics data solutions based on its AI technology "Clova" to further improve logistics demand forecasting while applying AI technology to overall logistics processes such as warehouse allocation and automatic warehousing reservation to accelerate the expansion of fulfillment and logistics services.
Naver also plans to actively cooperate in establishing next-generation logistics technology using Naver Labs' robot technology.
Naver will expand the smart logistics service using AI and robots to the whole country together with CJ Logistics.
Both companies will build a smart logistics system for Naver store sellers, by △opening fulfillment centers and expanding infrastructure, △building AI-based logistics infrastructure and developing solutions, and △reinforcing logistics technology using robot technology.
The two companies have decided to establish an additional fulfillment center with an area of more than 200,000 pyeong, in addition to the fulfillment centers in Gonjiam, Gunpo, and Yongin, which have been operated mainly by Naver Smart Store.
Through the new system, the next-day delivery service, which has been provided only by Naver Brand Store so far, will be expanded to 460,000 Smart Stores from next year.
In particular, for product groups with higher user needs for fast delivery, such as daily necessities and fresh food, the related infrastructure will be supplemented so that they can also be delivered on the same day and early morning.
The fulfillment center which is built newly by both companies will be used as a smart logistics base based on next-generation future technologies such as AI, robots, and cloud.
Naver will be set with NFA, a data-based fulfillment platform so that Naver Smart Store sellers can choose and envision a logistics method according to their business type. The fast delivery will also be secured nationwide.
