KISA and KHPLEI signed an MoU to create digital service ecosystems

Government agencies have signed a business agreement in Metaverse.

Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and Korea Health Personnel Licensing Examination (KHPLEI) signed a memorandum in a virtual space using the Metaverse platform to create digital service ecosystems together on the 21st.

The signing ceremony drew attention that it was held in Metaverse, to reflect changes in the economic and social structure, such as non-face-to-face and digital transformation accelerated by COVID-19. The agreement was signed to create digital service ecosystems based on the revised Frameworks Action on Electronic Documents and Transactions.

The two organizations are to actively co-operate in sectors including ▲legal system consulting and technical support ▲joint project and awareness-raising activities ▲mutual opening of legal system research, education, seminars, etc. ▲sharing of technical status and domestic, overseas trend data.

“This agreement could reduce about 500,000 paper documents annually required for the application and issuance of licenses and qualifications for 100,000 medical professionals,” said Won-tae Lee, the chief director of KISA. “We will do our best to play a leading role as a dedicated electronic documents agency so that electronic documents can be used as the base for data and digital service.”
