Sejong Special Self-Governing City (Mayor Choi Min-ho) will carry out the "2023 Agricultural Pilot Project" to respond to rapidly changing agricultural environments and improve agricultural competitiveness with advanced agricultural and convergence technologies.
The pilot project will invest a total of 1 billion won in 31 projects, including ▲ human development ▲ economic crop ▲ food crop ▲ fruit growing ▲ urban agriculture, and ▲ livestock sector.
This project focuses on the spread of scientific farming technologies and the development of urban and rural win-win development, such as ▲ the distribution of digital agriculture using drones ▲ revitalization of local particular crops ▲ supporting young farmers' farming settlement ▲revitalization of futuristic rural farms ▲ response to climate change.
The project is for farmers (citizens) who have a strong will to practice and the ability to pay for themselves. Applicants can fill out and submit a project application at each Agricultural Technology Center desk.
The final applicants will be selected after deliberation by the Sejong City Agricultural and Industrial Cooperation Council after an on-site survey by each project manager who received the application.
Choi In-ja, head of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, "This pilot project aims to strengthen Sejong City's agricultural competitiveness and improve farm income by supplying innovative agricultural technologies, fostering young farmers, and expanding the base of urban agriculture.
