“K-ICT Week in BUSAN 2022”, the biggest ICT event in the Yeongnam region, is open

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Hyung-joon) holds "K-ICT Week in BUSAN 2022," the biggest ICT event in the Yeongnam region, at BEXCO 2nd Exhibition Hall for three days from the 28th to the 30th.

"K-ICT Week in BUSAN" aims to be a venue for exchanges designed to introduce the latest digital new industries such as artificial intelligence, metaverse, and cloud, and expand the market for local ICT industries, with three events held at the same time.

The event consists of ▲ an opening ceremony sponsored by Hancom Group, ▲ a comprehensive ICT exhibition with 250 domestic and foreign companies ▲ Great Innovation for the Future of Artificial Intelligence," a cloud conference with the theme of "Digital Transformation" ▲ consultation sessions for 60 overseas buyers (online and offline) ▲ Open Data Convergence Research Group, a promising technology briefing by the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), technical/product briefing session for participating companies, and a job fair for the Busan Digital Innovation Academy (BDIA).

This year's event is expected to be larger than before as many domestic and foreign companies and organizations, including Hancom Group, Kakao Enterprise, Mega Zone, Cloocus, Douzone Bizon, IBM, and IEEE AI Security International Protocol Committee, participated in the exhibition and conference.

Mayor Park Hyung-joon said, "We will show our city's ICT technology and convention capabilities through the three-day event," adding, "We hope visitors feel our potential to host the 2030 Busan World Expo." He also said, "We will develop this event into a global ICT event that surpasses the International Electronics Show (CES, USA) and Mobile World Congress (MWC, Spain) and use it as a stepping stone to leap into a 'digital innovation city of Busan'."
