Busan City fosters next generation AI experts

Busan City will recruit students for the AI Developer Training Project, which will be run based on the AI Education Curriculum of Intel.

Following the AI & Web/App Developer Training Course (1st) which has been conducted since June, the training course for AI & Web/App Developers (2nd) and the training course for artificial intelligence smart manufacturing experts (3rd) will be operated for 3 months from October 5 to December 28, with 20 students for each program.

In the case of the students of the first training course, all 20 students participated in the 'Intel AI Global Impact Festival 2022' and one team entered the final round where a total of 90 finalists from 30 countries competed.

Gonuai runs this training course, Intel's Korea Agency for AI Education, as part of the training of Busan Information Industry Human Resources among the Busan Digital Innovation Academy, which is a high-end ICT talent development and employment-linked project for five years (2022-2026).

Gonuai Co., Ltd. is using the education curriculum developed by Intel to localize it so that non-major students can easily learn from AI recognition to basic and utilization.

The instructors of this course consisted of experts who received AI training master certification from Intel, and the trainees who completed the course will acquire Intel's AI training certificate.

In addition, Gonuai Co., Ltd. will support job seekers in related fields as it arranges employment for companies such as job consulting, platform companies with agreements between local companies and Intel, and practical education.

Education is provided to unemployed people under the age of 34 free of charge, and applications can be submitted online by searching for 'Gonuai' in Saramin and Incruit.

“The AI training program will help not only solve the shortage of developers in IT/SW companies but also find jobs that young people in Busan prefer,” said Lee Jun-seung, director of the Digital Economic Innovation Department in Busan. “We will do our best to train digital talents through practical training tailored to the needs of companies to upgrade the local industry.”
