- A total of 500 units will be provided to districts to offer free services to 500 senior citizens who need care by the end of this year

Daejeon City has introduced the "AI Companion Care Robot" for senior citizens who are subject to integrated community care.

Daejeon City's introduction of a "companion care robot” has been promoted as a part of the "AI companion care robot pilot project" to prevent lonely deaths, dementia, and solitude for the elderly and the disabled living alone and help stable daily care.

The AI companion care robot developed by Mr. MIND observes the lifestyle of the caregiver through emotional conversations, daily information conversations, and questionnaire conversations through learning data, and delivers dangerous situations to the guardian if abnormal symptoms such as depression and suicidal impulse are found in daily life.

In addition, the care robot provides services such as telling old stories, singing songs, starting conversations, delivering avatar talk & cognitive cards, and provides disease prevention content and functions for the elderly through brain activity/quiz play, sleep-inducing music, medicine management, and alarms (risk, etc.).

Daejeon City plans to provide a total of 500 care robots, 100 each for 5 districts, to provide free services for six months to 500 people in need of care by the end of this year. In the future, the effectiveness will be verified to determine whether this project will be continued.

Daejeon City Mayor Lee Jang-woo said, "We expect that the introduction of AI companion care robots will help the elderly in need of care to solve social problems by preventing lonely deaths and dementia by improving their emotional stability." "I would like to express gratitude to Mr. MIND, which provides services."
