Bucheon-si upgraded the "clean village service," which is part of the smart city challenge project.

Bucheon City plans to create a clean village based on illegal garbage-related data provided by citizens directly through listening to citizens' opinions.

The clean village service will allow citizens to collect and provide garbage data directly through the Kakao Talk chatbot service, which is convenient for citizens, and will be used as the basis for the urban environment improvement policy by integrating garbage complaint data received at various windows.

In addition, it plans to operate a citizen participation campaign service as well as providing data for citizens. Citizens can directly participate in creating a clean urban environment within the smart city pass app to collect garbage and certify it to receive a certain mileage. It will promote continuous promotion and offline events so that citizens can take the lead in creating a clean village themselves.

In August, an environmental metaverse will be opened where citizens can collect and learn various garbage in the virtual space of Bucheon City.

Bucheon Mayor Cho Yong-ik said, "We plan to grow the clean village service into a citizen-participating service." "We will do our best to create a warm and sustainable smart city created and enjoyed by residents."
