E8ight, a digital twin platform company (CEO Jin Kim) will be the first in Korea to build a digital twin of Sejong Smart City.
E8ight plans to build a digital twin in Sejong Smart City through smart city services and simulation support that link the physical world and virtual systems in real-time with its own technology simulation software NFLOW and digital twin platform NDX PRO.
E8tight plans to build a 3D geographic information system (GIS) in Sejong 5-1 living area using aviation or drones, and implement spatial information based on complete 3D by combining actual building information model (BIM).
It will also actively utilize the digital twin environment in the city construction stage. Simulations of urban planning to design, construction, and maintenance can be carried out to predict process issues that may occur in the construction and use them as guides for establishing related policies. In addition, the deliberation work of public institutions is supported by pre-positioning and licensing review with a building model of the same size as the actual one.
Furthermore, E8ight will provide natural disaster prevention services using simulation technology. Visualizing the downtown with 3D modeling can simulate natural phenomena such as typhoons, heavy rain, and fine dust, and warns of expected risks in advance, contributing to minimizing damage from natural disasters and preparing future countermeasures.
It also plans to diversify its citizen experience services. Smart apartment service that allows users to experience the 3D view and furniture arrangement and composition of the target apartment before moving in with a virtual interior and a smart civil petition application that allows users to apply based on location information and check progress in real-time is provided.
Jin Kim, CEO of E8ight said, “The digital twin will minimize unnecessary trial and error to quickly establish urban plans and allow citizens to experience the smart city as a national demonstration project. The goal is to develop this into a digital twin national standard to create a sustainable smart city model.”
Meanwhile, E8ight will also join the consortium of the Busan Eco-Delta Smart City National Demonstration Complex to design and build a digital twin base for urban operation. It has participated in all of the national pilot smart city projects which have been operated so far and is being recognized for its unrivaled competitiveness as a digital twin platform company.
