The Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) will pursue the opportunity to make the public experience "intelligent Internet of Things (AIoT)" that combines core ICT technologies such as AI and 5G.
The Ministry of Science and ICT and NIPA announced that they will invite new tasks to participate in the "Intelligent Internet of Things Application Spread Project" that supports the discovery and spread of AIoT products and services from February 24.
As the utilization of the intelligent Internet of things has been highlighted as a major information and communication technology field for solving social problems such as non-face-to-face, digital conversion, and various disaster disasters since Corona 19, the Ministry of Science and ICT will reorganize its business system focusing on three themes: ①life-friendly, ②social problem-solving, and ③ technology convergence type to find tasks with high national perception.
In the field of detailed area, a total of seven fields were selected, including smart home, disaster safety, agriculture, forestry and livestock fisheries, digital healthcare, logistics and distribution, energy, and entertainment. It will be divided into the introduction of competitive large-scale tasks for representative strategic tasks, support for small and medium-sized tasks for strategic fields, and introduction of new technology convergence tasks.
▷Large competitive tasks will be provided within 1 billion won for each project by selecting two tasks from Smart Home (Life-Close Intelligent IoT) and Disaster Safety (Social Problem Solving Intelligent IoT), which are representative strategic areas of support topics. According to the results of the project termination evaluation for the first year, one project for each field will be eligible for application for the project for the next year.
▷Small and medium-sized projects will get the support of within 510 million won by selecting one project for each field and two for each project in five strategic fields (agriculture, livestock, digital healthcare, logistics, distribution, energy, and entertainment).
▷The technology convergence project will select one free field project that integrates and applies new technologies such as LIDAR sensor and quantum sensor, and the government will support it to less than 1 billion won.
More information on the business contest can be found on the NIPA YouTube channel or the Internet homepage of the Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency.
The Ministry of Science and ICT said, "Intelligent IoT has great potential and utilization value due to the convergence of sensors, data, networks, and artificial intelligence, so we will actively support diversification of intelligent IoT products and services in areas where social problems can be solved and public benefits can be created."
