Six companies, including the KB (Kookmin Bank) Consortium, reportedly submitted letters of intent to participate in the public offering of private businesses (SPC) of Busan Eco Delta City Smart City.
The Korea Water Resources Development Corporation, Busan Metropolitan City, and Busan Metropolitan Corporation will participate as public service providers that provide administrative support.
The Korea Water Resources Development Corporation plans to receive business plans by March 29 from companies that have submitted letters of intent to participate and select preferred negotiators through screening in April.
The smart city, which will be built in Eco Delta City, Gangseo-gu, Busan, is a future city with various smart technologies, including ▷ residential ▷ commercial ▷ R&D ▷ cultural ▷ leisure ▷ healthcare, and 3,380 households will be built in.
The Korea Water Resources Corporation expects to be able to select private operators this year as more companies than expected have expressed their willingness to participate.
Eco Delta City selected ‘The Grand Consortium’ with Hanwha Energy as the preferred bidder for the SPC private sector in 2020, but gave up during the preliminary project negotiations, and the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power consortium, which was the second-largest negotiator, also gave up in the middle to re-publicize last year.
Unlike the first round, the Korea Water Resources Development Corporation simplified the process by omitting the process of preliminary projects and signing this project contract immediately after negotiations.
