A "smart distribution center system" has been developed that can safely and meticulously manage loading and unloading robots that quickly process delivery cargo and digital drawings in logistics centers.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that it designates the △ smart logistics center system and △ unloading robots as "excellent new logistics technologies."
The No. 4 Logistics New Technology △ Logistics Center facility management system (hereinafter referred to as 'Smart Logistics Center System') is a facility management technology that can manage buildings, facilities, land, and structures with digital information by applying digital drawing technology to logistics centers.
Based on the completion blueprints, all spaces of the distribution center can be divided into facility management units and matched with facility information to allow facility management personnel to accurately check and manage facilities in detail, prevent fire and safety accidents, and create a safe working environment.
No. 5 Logistics New Technology △ Unloading Robot recognizes cargo loading through a machine learning-based artificial intelligence image recognition algorithm, which can significantly reduce the work intensity of unloading workers' job at logistics centers.
This technology is secured through the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's transportation logistics R&D, and can unload 1,500 boxes in 30 minutes for an 11-ton truck, which is four times more efficient than manpower.
Meanwhile, five new logistics technologies have been designated since the first implementation in 2020 to promote the spread and utilization of logistics technologies.
If designated by the government as a new technology, it will receive various benefits such as priority support such as ① technology development fund, ② priority application and purchase recommendation of a public institution, and ③ granting points at bidding.
“As the volume of courier goods increases due to the expansion of untact life, the demand for new technologies to efficiently handle them increases, and various new logistics technologies are expected to be developed and widely used in the logistics industry,” said Oh Song-cheon, head of the high-tech logistics department at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
