‘AI Summit Seoul 2021’ to present the future of Metaverse, AI and Smart City

‘AI Summit Seoul 2021’ will be held at COEX for two days from December 8th to 9th to find the present, future, and industry convergence point of artificial intelligence technology.

Marking its fourth year, this year’s AI Summit will deal with AI technology, global AI market trends, investment trends and industry-specific success stories, AI regulations and policies under the theme of ‘AI-LED Enterprise Transformation’.

The main programs of the AI Summit, which are expected to be an opportunity to enhance in-depth understanding of AI's technological changes and trends, which are emerging as key factors in Smart City construction, are as follows.

▷Starting with a talk about the present and future of AI with Dr. Oren Etzioni, the CEO of the Allen Institute of Artificial Intelligence (AI2), Naver AI Labs Director Ha Jung-woo will give a lecture on "ultra-large AI," which has emerged as a new paradigm for AI technology.

▷Regarding the changes in the corporate environment that AI will bring and the future of AI-based enterprises, lectures are prepared by Cha Sang-kyun, the professor of Seoul National University, Hong Won-pyo, former Samsung SDS President, and Eum Jae-hoon, Translink Capital CEO.

▷In order to find out the current status of the AI global startup market, Oscar Ramos of technology venture capital SOSV and Gleb Chuvpilo partner of Thundermark Capital, a robot-related investment specialist, will share insights on "change, technology, and investment in the global AI startup market."

▷Regarding Metaverse and AI, which was selected as the special theme for the summit, former Samsung Electronics' youngest executive, Pranav Mistry, a world leader in the AI, AR, VR, and robotics industries, will give a lecture under the title "The World of Metaverse Led by AI."

▷There is also time to look into AI technology cases applied to specific industries.

△In the field of agriculture, Lee Il-seok, director of Cargill Agri Purina Korea, one of the world's largest grain companies and leading Aggregate AI, shares AI technology and utilization know-how that change the paradigm of livestock.

△In the pharmaceutical field, Vaibhav Verdhan of AstraZeneca will introduce how AI is being used in the medical field in the COVID-19 era.

In addition, sessions on the use of AI in the game, distribution, and financial industries, such as digital transformation and AI application cases of DHL, a world-class transport company, will continue.

▷There is also a session to meet promising domestic AI startups.

In the "AI Startup Showcase," Seo Jae-young, the author of "AI First" and executive director of NH Investment & Securities, one of the largest PBs in Korea, introduces notable AI startups in Korea.

▷As a special session, Baek Seung-yeop, CEO of Sidus Studio X, who created virtual influencer "Rosy" and "Rui," and Oh Je-wook, CEO of dob Studio, will unveil virtual influencer and behind-the-the-scenes stories of development using AI.
