See the present and future of “K-AIoT” at a glance

「The 2021 AIoT Week Korea」, which aims to revitalize and enhance the Internet of Things (IoT), will be held from the 20th to the 22nd hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Lim Hye-sook).

The event, which started in 2014 and marks its eighth anniversary this year, has been designed to show the present and future of the Artificial Internet of Things (AIoT), raise interest in the Internet of Things, and seek the right direction of related technologies and industrial development.

Recently, AIoT, which combines the Internet of Things and AI, is taking a leap to the "autonomous" stage, which enables not only situational awareness, simple control, and future predictions, but also "autonomous decision making and conrol."

■ Artificial Internet of Things International Exhibition (10.20~10.22, COEX 3rd floor C hall)

▷ More than 120 domestic and foreign companies will participate in the Artificial Internet of Things International Exhibition to introduce intelligent IoT services and products in various fields such as digital twin factories, Artificial offices, and urban safety.

■ AIoT Conference (10.21, online & offline (COEX 3rd floor room 307,308))

▷Under the theme of "Artificial Internet of Things Future and Innovation Strategy," a total of 21 presentations were made in three tracks and four sessions.

The presentations included AIoT for eco-friendly and socially responsible management of companies, and AIoT's roles & opportunities in the era of the expanded virtual world. In addition, cases of application and convergence of AIoT in the public sector, and autonomous IoT technology were introduced.

■ Internet of Things Demonstrative Exhibition (10.20~10.22, COEX 3rd floor C hall)

▷ Examples and products of Artificial IoT technologies and services such as intelligent separate emission solutions, radar, camera utilization, and intelligent road parking solutions that support functions such as automatic fare settlement and parking reservations are also being displayed. Moreover, counseling for business cooperation with consumers will be conducted on-site and online.

■ IoT Security Certification System Briefing (10.21, online)

▷ In accordance with the enactment of ‘the notification on information protection certification such as information and communication network connection devices’ on September 23, the briefing introduced the main contents of the notification, direction of operation of the certification system, and method of applying for certification.

▷In addition, AIoT products and solutions presentations (10.20), artificial convergence-based artificial intelligence (AI) technology and commercialization presentations (10.20), OCEAN Summit 2021 (10.20), and AIoT demand and supply business networking (10.21) were held.

"We hope that this event will provide an opportunity for Industry-University-Institute to find a direction for development jointly so that the IoT will become a cornerstone of the future that will increase productivity and enrich life," said the second vice minister of the Ministry of Science and ICT(MSIT).
