An online ICT-related public forum is being held, where digital leaders from home and abroad, including global cities, companies, academia, and experts, will share knowledge, technology, and know-how together and draw the "Future Image of Smart City Seoul."
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it will hold the online 「2021 Seoul Smart City Week」 on the 12th to 19th under the theme of "The Contactless Society and the Future Brought Forward.".
The city has held the "Seoul Digital Summit" since 2016 to enhance the status of Seoul as the global digital capital, and seek ways to cooperate and develop between Seoul, companies, and overseas cities under the agenda of core technologies of the 4th industrial revolution.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the name was changed to the "Seoul Smart City Leaders Forum" and switched to online from last year.
‘The 2021 Seoul Smart City Week’ features a total of 14 programs, including lectures, forums, and sit-down meetings, mainly focusing on the popularization of fourth industrial technology.
Lee Seung-kyu, the vice president of Smart Study, who developed the "Pink Pong Baby Shark" IP, which has the world's No. 1 YouTube view with 9.4 billion views, and Kim Jung-young, head of Deep Brain AI's business development division, who developed an AI anchor model will present cases of corporate innovation.
In addition, "Mysterious Dictionary of General Knowledge (program name)" lectures which have been prepared with "Time to Change the World," a lecture content platform with 1 million YouTube subscribers, are included.
In addition, a metaverse meeting will be held. Seoul Mayor Oh, Se-hoon will attend as an avatar for the first time and greet citizens. Speakers and civic spectators all access as avatars in their respective spaces.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government said it has increased the event period of the Seoul Smart City Leaders Forum, which was held only for two days last year, to one week to increase citizens' access to information and organize program time within two hours to increase the concentration of citizens participating online.
The program of 「2021 Seoul Smart City Week」 consists of △ SSW Insight, which combines innovative solution cases and 4th industrial technologies of digital-related companies in the form of lectures, and △ Seoul Smart City Leaders Forum, which consists of presentations and panel discussions on COVID-19 response cases in domestic and foreign cities.

It consists of a total of 11 lectures in the field of business and science. It will introduce examples of solutions that have allowed each company's planners or developers to experience new values with innovation that has never been seen before in the non-face-to-face era.
In addition, there is a section where science communicators explain unfamiliar concepts such as blockchain, microgrid, and 5G to the public to popularize science.

Lectures are prepared by △Professor Kim, Sang-kyun of Kangwon National University, author of ‘Metaverse’, starting with a world-changing lecture (*topic: Remember one thing to be happy on Metaverse), and △ Shin, Woo-seok, the partner of Bain & Company, about " Contactless era, corporate strategy analysis."
Lecturers include Lee, Seung-gyu, vice president of smart study of 'Pink Pong Baby Shark' with 9.4 billion views on YouTube, Ha Jeong Woo, the director of Naver AI Lab, which opens a large-scale AI era, and Yang Hyun-sik, a science communicator who emphasizes that diversification of energy is the way to live in the era of the fourth industrial revolution, a symbol of evolution.
■ Seoul Smart City Leaders Forum
The forum will be held at 4 p.m. on the 19th at DDP Seoul On Studio. It will be broadcast online on YouTube and its official website.

▷ Metaverse round-table meeting
Under the theme of "Digital Great Transformation and the Future of Seoul," speakers such as Professor Choi Jae-bung, Professor Lee Jung-hoon, Shin Woo-seok partner, and Seoul Smart City Policy Officer Park Jong-soo will meet with the MZ generation in the form of avatars to talk about the future of Seoul, including the Seoul Vision 2030 strategy related to smart cities.
In September, Seoul introduced a metaverse platform to the municipal administration in accordance with the "Seoul Metaverse Pilot Service Operation Agreement" signed with CJ Olive Networks. Both the conference room and the avatar are implemented in 3D with an actual image.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government will also hold a "234 Event" via SNS from the 12th to the 26th so that more citizens can participate in the event with interest.
Various prizes such as Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Watch 4, and 10,000 won gift certificates will be provided through a lottery if you upload questions on personal SNS or post questions during metaverse meetings after capturing lecture videos with screenshots.
