Daegu City and the National Intelligence Service signed a ‘Business Agreement to cooperate in strengthening the Smart City security system’ on the 28th.
This business agreement aims to prevent social disasters caused by physical terrorism and hacking and preemptively resolve threats when establishing smart cities with high-tech new technologies such as hyper connections.
The main areas of cooperation are ▲ Smart city information and communication network security enhancement cooperation ▲ Smart city big data protection system establishment cooperation ▲ Smart city to implement a sustainable smart city with security through joint response to terrorism hazards in physical and cyberspace.
First of all, Daegu City will cooperate to strengthen the security of information and communication networks by establishing smart cities such as AI-based smart transportation systems and IoT self-network services and data hubs.
The two organizations plan to lead the smart city security system through mutual organic cooperation, such as securing security due to the application of artificial intelligence traffic signal control and strengthening security systems for smart city infrastructure that combines new technologies.
In addition, they will cooperate in the construction of smart cities' big data protection systems and security consulting, and will actively protect public information and citizens' personal information by establishing security policies by releasing public data.
For this reason, Daegu City will strengthen cooperation with the National Cyber Security Center as well as the NIS branch.
An official of Daegu City said, "This agreement is expected to be a driving force that can take a step forward to realize the security environment of safe smart cities and the well-being of citizens, and it will help Daegu to make citizens leap into a safe smart city lead city.
