A kiosk will be set up to allow the elderly to watch movies more conveniently.
The Seoul Digital Foundation and CJ CGV have signed an MOU for Kiosk improvement for the elderly.
The two organizations will analyze the current status and obstacles of kiosk use by older users, and share data, information, and human & physical resources to promote tasks smoothly. It also plans to improve kiosks by reflecting the physical, cognitive, and psychological characteristics of the elderly and user experiences.
The Seoul Digital Foundation will test the "Aged-friendly Kiosk Accessibility Standard" currently under development to CGV Kiosk, and verify its effectiveness for improvement.
Since last year, the foundation has been developing an "Aged-friendly Digital Accessibility Standard" that improves obstacles for senior citizens who are vulnerable to the use of digital devices and contents.
CJ CGV is going to upgrade overall services from kiosk placement, movie and seat selection, and user interfaces.
This is the plan to create an environment where seniors can watch movies conveniently.
