Suwon City spreads 2,600 hydrogen electric vehicles by 2025

Suwon City is applying 205 hydrogen fuel cell electric cars this year.

When Suwon citizens purchase a hydrogen electric vehicle, they can receive 32.5 million won, including a national budget of 22.5 million won and 10 million won of Suwon municipal expenses

Its model, ‘NEXO’ can travel 609km with 100% charge.

Individuals aged 18 or above, or businesses, corporations, organizations, public institutions, and local public corporations (excluding central government agencies), etc. which officially have been in Suwon City for 60 days, are eligible to apply for a subsidy.

Applications must be made by May 10. If the budget is exhausted, the application will be terminated early.

Citizens who want to purchase a hydrogen electric vehicle can submit a purchase support application to a manufacturer’s distributor after concluding a purchase contract with it.

Suwon City has so far supplied 160 hydrogen-electric vehicles. It plans to supply 2,600 units by 2025.

Meanwhile, the "Suwon Yeongdong Hydrogen Station" is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm from Monday to Saturday. The daily charge capacity is 250kg, and 50 hydrogen vehicles can be charged.
