Woori Bank (President Lee Won-deok) announced that it will implement a 3D-based metaverse pilot service with Grid, a metaverse startup company.

Woori Bank will promote Woori Financial Group's digital transformation strategy by offering helpful metaverse services for customers and employees and providing new digital experiences.

This pilot service offers a "comprehensive support center for small business owners" for small business customers and a "digital training center" for Woori Bank employees on Grid's metaverse platform "moim."

The "Small Business Support Center" provides 1:1 customized consulting for small business owners, including ▲ policy financial loans ▲ commercial district, and location analysis ▲ support for establishing various business plans, and is available not only on PCs but also on mobile devices.

In particular, the "Small Business Comprehensive Support Center" has changed its 2D-based "Woori Meta Branch," which has been in operation since December 2021, to a 3D-based platform to enhance users' immersion and usability.

The Digital Training Center is for Woori Bank employees and supports the shortcomings of face-to-face and non-face-to-face education using the metaverse platform. First of all, in order to strengthen employees' digital capabilities, digital experts will be invited to conduct digital special lectures and expand future training programs.

An official from Woori Bank said, "Through this pilot service, we plan to experience the metaverse service first and officially open it in the first half of this year by reflecting user feedback," adding, "This service will be available not only on PCs and mobile devices but also on XR devices in the future."
