Samsung Electronics presents its up-to-date smart home technologies at the 2021 International IoT, Appliances Robot Fair, being held at Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Gwangju Metropolitan City from 18th to 20th this month.
At this fair, Samsung Electronics shows a smart home with enhanced connectivity based on ‘BESPOKE’ home appliances and ‘SmartThings’ under the theme of ‘Amazing Teamwork for You’.
Samsung Electronics operates an exhibition zone under the theme of major smart services such as cooking, clothing care, and pet care, and show customized smart home experiences pursued by each service.
In the SmartThings Cooking Zone, you can experience the 'ViewInside' function, which allows you to check the ingredients stored inside the 'BESPOKE Family Hub' refrigerator through mobile, and the 'Scan Cook' function of ' BESPOKE Cucker', which is optimal cooking temperature and time set by scanning the back bar code of milk kit or simple food.
In addition, the SmartThings Clothing Care Zone displays the latest BESPOKE Clothing Care appliances such as "Grande AI" washing machines and dryers, "Air Dressers" and "Shoe dressers."
In this zone, artificial intelligence functions that enable convenient and delicate clothing care such as △'AI custom washing' which automatically sets washing and rinse time by detecting the weight, type and pollution of laundry, △'AI custom drying' which finds optimal drying temperature and time with precise sensor that detects temperature and humidity inside the device, △'AI custom drying' which suggests recommended course based on usage pattern, weather and season, and △ 'AI custom recommendation' are being introduced.
In particular, the "SmartThings Clothing Care Service" not only recommends optimal courses according to the lifestyle and home appliance combinations of Grande AI washing machines, dryers, and air dressers, but also allows users to customize frequently use courses and create course names.
It has been introduced an automatic detergent injection+ function that detects the weight and contamination of laundry for about a month and automatically puts in an appropriate amount once the detergent and softener are replenished, and a simple solution that connects online shopping mall purchases.
Moreover, you can also experience a service that takes care of pets' emotions by filming and showing their daily lives through the "BESPOKE Jetbot AI" robot vacuum cleaner and playing music or videos in the SmartThings Pet Care Zone.
It is also demonstrating that the "Bespoke Cube Air" pet care air purifier is remotely operated to effectively remove hair and odor from pets.
Besides, the "Prism 360 Color" zone, where visitors can combine 360 colors according to their taste and personality in the Bespoke refrigerator, a photo zone that offers prizes when uploaded to social media along with hashtags, and the "Team Samsung Zone," where visitors can experience various services of the SmartSings app on a large screen.
"Samsung Bespoke home appliances offer convenience to consumers' daily lives by combining more advanced AI and IoT technologies," said Park Chan-woo, managing director of Samsung Electronics' home appliance division. "We will try to provide differentiated services and develop smart home experiences based on SmartThings."
Meanwhile, Gwangju Metropolitan City, which hosts the event, is expecting that 350 companies from 30 countries around the world would participate and 25,000 visitors would visit the fair till November 20.
