The expo will run by on & off convergence program due to COVID-19

The 8th Electric Vehicle Expo Organizing Committee (Co-chairman Kim Dae-hwan, Moon Kook-hyun, Yakobosamashi, Albert Lam) decided to hold the International Electric Vehicle Expo (IEVE) on September 8 and 9 online, considering the severe situation of the coronavirus pandemic.

Under the theme of "Autonomous Vehicles & Smart Cities" and "Comparison of Startup Ecosystems and Exploration of Innovation Opportunities," domestic and foreign experts will participate in the expo via on & offline.

The expo consists of programs that overlook the future of technology development for domestic and foreign companies that are exploring the ecosystem and innovation opportunities of startups that diagnose smart cities and future automotive industry ecosystems and cope with changes in the business environment such as climate change and the rapid rise of the metaverse.

In addition, the IEVE-SV Business Forum, hosted by IEVE and Silicon Valley in the U.S., will also have practical discussions with Korean and U.S. high-tech industry officials and investors.

On the other hand, specialized programs such as virtual exhibitions where visitors can meet various product lines in cyberspace will also be held. Many automotive and component companies related to future eco-friendly vehicles will participate in the virtual exhibition. Germany, Britain, Croatia, the Netherlands, Norway, Israel, Tajikistan, and other leading EV and carbon-neutral countries will participate with their own companies.

Moreover, various conferences will be held by connecting ICC Jeju with domestic and foreign countries where presenters and debaters are located through a real-time online video system. International discussions will also be held on future EV development and energy conversion, including the 6th Annual General Meeting of the Global EV Association Network (GEAN), which 32 countries around the world are attending, the 3rd IEVE-Silicon Valley Business Forum, which was organized by Korea and Silicon Valley from the U.S., and the 5th Global EV Round Table, which will be held under the theme of the global EV industry and energy conversion.

Applications for companies that participate in on-site exhibitions and virtual exhibitions are being received through the Electric Vehicle Expo website.

"This year's Electric Vehicle Expo will be held as a program that combines 5G with virtual, video, and drive-through. We will actively support investments and business cooperation between companies to achieve conversion to EV and carbon neutrality in the world,” said Kim Dae-hwan, co-chairman of IEVE Organizing Committee.
