Gwacheon City completed building smart city integrated platform

Gwacheon City has completed ‘Building foundation for Smart City Integrated Platform'.

In February last year, Gwacheon City was selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's public offering and secured a total project cost of 1.2 billion won, and began building a "Smart City Integrated Platform."

Through the smart city integrated platform, Gwacheon City, Gwacheon Police Station and Gwacheon Fire Station will link mutual information and establish a joint response system for emergency rescue and dispatch support, crime and fire prevention, and various disasters.

The CCTV Integrated Control Center, which manages 623 CCTVs for crime prevention in 230 locations, and 112 and 119 situation rooms will share information in real-time to respond to emergencies.

In addition, it will establish an "identification system for delinquent vehicles" in public parking lots and operate a "safe return service" to take responsibility for citizens' safe return home.

In particular, intelligent CCTV systems that recognize moving objects such as people and cars and selectively control them have been applied to existing security cameras to increase efficiency in control and operation.

Mayor of Gwacheon, who attended the demonstration, said, "The integrated platform is expected to increase the safety felt by citizens along with the 24-hour control of the CCTV Integrated Control Center."
