Establish an ITS for Full Self Driving era

In the preparation for Full Self Driving era, ITS(intelligent transportation system) will be established in 43 local governments nationwide. Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced.

This year, a total of 139 billion won will be supported for system development such as collection and provision of transportation information, incident management system using CCTVs, online signal control system, smart crossway, and emergency vehicle preemption signal system.

At first, the collection and provision of transportation information, incident management system using smart CCTVs, smart signal system, and C-ITS(cooperative-intelligent transportation system) will be developed by 2025.

After that, there will be the public contest of "Local ITS Business Plan" for local governments that have established ITS(intelligent transportation system).

The official from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said, "In order to spread the ITS(intelligent transportation system) project, we ask each local government to actively discover and participate in projects that have a great public experience."
