The "Road Traffic Law Amendment" has been in effect in Korea since May this year, making it mandatory to wear a helmet while using personal mobility, and a fine of 20,000 won has been imposed for users who are not wearing helmets. A "foldable helmet" exclusively for personal mobility has emerged, drawing attention.
Nature Mobility, a mobility platform established in 2018, introduced a foldable helmet "Raba" on crowdfunding platform Wadiz.
Nature Mobility announced that it has developed a convenient and safe folding Raba helmet that can fold like paper after 59 prototype tests over three years, which has been an obstacle to personal mobility use such as bicycles and electric kickboards.
Nature Mobility's "Raba" can implement both a general helmet wearing type as well as a folding type, making it easy to store and wear, the company said.
Raba helmet can reduce the volume to less than 35% of its original size and weighs only 410 grams. External durability has been enhanced by using PC/ABS materials that safely block impact and heat.
Nature Mobility said, "We will unveil 'Raba' for the first time in Wadiz," adding, "We will officially sell it after funding is over."
