Among the members of NewJeans, Daniel will not be able to return. ADOR has taken a strong stance, stating that a family member of Daniel bears significant responsibility for the NewJeans exit situation and that they will seek legal accountability.
On the 29th, ADOR stated in an official statement, "After the confirmation of the ruling on the validity of the exclusive contract, we have had many conversations with Minji, Hani, Daniel, and the families of the three members."
ADOR stated, "Hani visited Korea with her family and had in-depth discussions with ADOR for a long time. During that process, we reflected on past events and took time to view the situation objectively. After a sincere conversation, Hani decided to respect the court's ruling and continue with ADOR."
It continued, "Minji is also in discussions with ADOR, and we are continuously engaging in discussions to broaden mutual understanding."
However, ADOR stated, "In Daniel's case, we have determined that it is difficult to continue as a member of NewJeans and as an artist under ADOR, so we have notified the termination of the exclusive contract today. We plan to hold legal responsibility against the family member of Daniel, who bears significant responsibility for causing this dispute and the delay in NewJeans' return, as well as former representative Min Hee-jin."
It added, "During the conversation process, we learned that the members had been hearing distorted and biased information for a long time, leading to many misunderstandings about the company and resulting in disputes. Both the company and the artists agreed that to restore the love of fans and the public, it is necessary to completely resolve misunderstandings based on accurate facts, even if it takes some time."
It also stated, "We have decided to have an opportunity to discuss the various controversies that arose during the dispute process in the future, and we are discussing the timing and method. ADOR will do its best to resolve the matter amicably and ensure that NewJeans can return to the fans as soon as possible."
