|Smart Today=Reporter Na Gi-cheon| Chairman Chung Ki-sun of HD Hyundai is intensifying his leadership approach focused on on-site communication.
On the 23rd, Chairman Chung met with MZ (born between 1980 and 2012) employees at the Ulsan HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Talent Development Center, emphasising a culture of mutual respect and communication, and reaffirming the commitment to corporate culture innovation.
On this day, Chairman Chung held a corporate culture improvement idea sharing event called 'High Five Day' with MZ employees at the Ulsan Talent Development Center. The event was attended by 97 'Change Agents' (CA) from subsidiaries such as HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, and HD Hyundai Electric, along with a total of over 170 MZ employees.
High Five Day is an event planned to strengthen direct communication between the CEO and CAs.
At this event, Chairman Chung emphasised that "HD Hyundai's strengths are the ability to execute and drive to get things done" and that "maintaining these strengths while also communicating and listening to each other's stories leads to a better organisational culture."
Chairman Chung attended this event in Ulsan, following events held at the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province last October and this June, continuing to communicate with on-site members.
Since taking office as chairman last October, Chairman Chung has shown a sincere commitment to spreading 'on-site centred leadership' by directly communicating with production sites and employees.
In November, Chairman Chung visited the construction site of the HD Hyundai Electric Distribution Campus in Cheongju and the HD Hyundai Energy Solutions and HD Hyundai Construction Equipment sites in Eumseong, Chungbuk. This month, he participated in a kimjang sharing volunteer activity with employees at the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center.
